FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Acclaimed Balance Board is a Key Component to the 47- Day TrainingChallenging!

AUBURN, Calif. (February 8, 2017) – StrongBoard Balance® is sponsoring Auburn Fit, a Northern California conditioning gym, and Zac Hersh to compete in the Fourmidable 50k on Saturday, February 18. Auburn Fit co-owner and head trainer, Bryan Twardus is challenged to prepare Zac Hersh for the national trail race in only 47 days. The balance board is a key element of Hersh’s training for the national race.

Media wishing to interview Zac Hersh or Bryan Twardus on or before race day may contact Sarah@StrongBoardBalance.com.

StrongBoard Balance will be among the tools Twardus will use to prepare Hersh for the grueling 50-kilometer race that will take participants through trails and mountain country, for a cumulative climb of 3,801 feet.

Since January 1, Hersh has been training with Twardus from Auburn Fit for his 47-day Challenge, covering 30 miles and 5,947 feet of climbing. Bryan explains, “Training for a 50K in 47 days is definitely not the standard approach. The mental and physical toll on your body is a lot to take on in a short amount of time. This 6-week process of training, if done right, can and will get Zac Hersh from Auburn, California across finish line on Feb 18th. It's all about how bad you want it! Both strength and stability are crucial for trail runners. So in Zac's training we have incorporated StrongBoard Balance board because it allows him to work the same muscles he's using on the trails without creating any additional impact. The variation in workout is great and knowing it will enhance his endurance is even better!”

“We are honored to sponsor Zac and Auburn Fit in this crazy challenge. If anyone can pull this off, it is Bryan Twardus. Auburn Fit is a sweet little balance boutique in Northern California which caters to trail runners,” said Mike Curry, fitness expert and creator of StrongBoard Balance. “They understand the unique composition of StrongBoard and why it is a must-have tool. Anyone who is serious about navigating uneven terrain advocates for extreme balance conditioning. This challenge is the perfect opportunity to show the trail running and ultra-marathon crowd who Auburn Fit, Zac Hersh and StrongBoard Balance are. I’m excited for the race.”

Compressing under any weight bearing load, including the human body, StrongBoard’s springs are both reactive and dynamic. Featuring over 180 degrees of tilt in every single direction, simply standing on StrongBoard requires total core engagement. Unlike other balance devices on the market, StrongBoard Balance offers a flat, rigid platform, and its perfect for standing on one foot or two, planking with one hand or two and v-sit exercises. Designed by ACE certified personal trainer, Mike Curry and a team of engineers, StrongBoard is easy and safe to get on and off, and its flat platform protects joints and surrounding ligaments from unnatural supination or strain, allowing the user to mimic real life movements in all positions. StrongBoard Balance weighs 15 pounds and may also be used as a weight for bicep, tri-cep, chest and abdominal exercises. In addition to the muscular and skeletal benefits, use of StrongBoard requires the muscles to communicate with the brain, effectively opening, healing, restoring and strengthening delicate neuropathways. The biomechanics of spring technology coupled with the rigid platform require users to find their true center of gravity, allowing these neuropathways to be created or restored without fragmentation.
